Doris Schamp is an Austrian artist and cartoonist. She studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, and at the HSLU Lucerne in Switzerland.
Though her iconic paintings, and various other pieces often seem innocent and funny, they also just as often carry critical social messages inspired by the human race, one of the main influences of Schamp’s work.
In the most recent works, Schamp investigates the body through contemporary figure drawings. She deconstructs gender stereotypes and creates anonymous shells of identities.
